Kaija Sanelma Harris is a Finnish textile artist who has accomplished making a visual impact in her tapestries. Harris’ use of double weaves and weaving has won her Canada’s most prestigious visual arts prize. Studying architectural tapestry in Banff, Canada and Iceland, she has been awarded the “Premier’s Prize'' four times from the Saskatchewan Craft Council’s “Dimensions.” Harris was also presented with the “Best in Weaving'' award four years in a row alongside “People’s Choice” in 1989.
